Employing a similar dual-XD Linear system to that used in the 400mm and 600mm GM Supertelephoto primes, the 300mm F2.8 GM OSS inherits breathtaking, class-leading autofocus performance, which is critically important for the rapid close-range action that this lens is designed to capture. When paired with the flagship α1 body, it is possible to shoot high-speed bursts at up to 30 frames per second.
